So as many of you may already know that I am doing karate. But what you didn’t know is that my dojo’s website was created by my sensei!!!!!!!
A 65 years old man took a web class to learn how to use dreamweaver to build a site, so that he can put information up on the Internet to people who want to know about him. I really really admire his spirit!!!
But as a web designer, I just can’t stand how outdated the site is. So for the love of my karate and admire sensei’s spirit. I offered to help him to set up a CMS system that will make updating his information on his own much much more easier than coding on his own.
For my sensei’s site, I choose my all-time fave, wordpress!!!! It is just so fun using it. And I showed it to my sensei, he was very excited to know there is such tool like this although he was very confused….but I did my best to explain everything. Then he felt somewhat relieved and said: “oh I will go home and practice!!”
Anyway, main goal was to let him use easy tool to update his own site and to make it simpler/easy to navigate. There isn’t much designing going on since it is more of an on going building site, hopefully I will still be able to help him making the site better and user friendly later on loh.
But as for now, we are all happy that the updated version of sensei’s site is up!!!!!!! Ummmm… Ya… Content will be added soon. I am pushing hard for that. LOL.
Here is the link to take a look at the sensei’s new site:

Ummm… Just FYI, this site will not be maintenance by me. So what you may see on the site may not be what I did.

Recently, I have been working on a photographer’s site. It’s just a very simple slideshow type of project to showcase her photography. How hard can that be right…..? Ya… it was not that simple! Partly was because I wasn’t thinking straight and got too excited jump in starting building it without how a slideshow works and reacts. After many many revision later, finally it all came together!!!

The main goal was to make this site viewable on iPhone/iPad. Glad it looks really tie on them!!
